Remember the Sky Project

Posted Date: 9/11/23 (6:56 AM)

Homestead High School invites our students, faculty, staff, and families to pause and remember the tragic events and those we lost on 9/11.

To commemorate the 22nd anniversary of this day, the 9/11 Memorial and Museum is asking everyone to take part in the Remember the Sky Project.

We hope that the Homestead community will join in this activity.

To participate, take a picture of the sky above and then share it on Instagram, Twitter or the social media platform of your choice with the hashtags #neverforget911 and #rememberthesky.

Almost every American who is old enough to remember 9/11 can tell you where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news. Our current Spartan students have no personal memory of 9/11, because they were not yet born.

Students… take a moment today to talk to your teachers, our staff, and members of your family to get their first-hand accounts of this historic experience.
