if your student is going to be arriving late, leaving early, or out for the entire day.

• All students enter and exit the building at the new Door #1 via the Spartan Roundabout. The Spartan Roundabout is only accessible from the campus entrance located off of Homestead Road via Indian Meadows Drive, between the Girl’s Varsity Softball Field and the SACS District Offices. Turn right after passing Aboite Elementary School and proceed to the designated drop-off area of the Spartan Roundabout.
   
• Students should be in class prior to and after appointments unless the doctor states he/she is excusing the full day.  For example, if the appointment is at 9:00 AM, the student is expected to attend school for Period 1. 
   
• Remember, you must obtain and turn in a doctor's note to the attendance office (that includes appointment and departure times) in order for the absence to be considered Doctor Excused and not Parent Excused.
   
• Students are allowed 10 Parent-Excused absences for the entire school year.  If a student misses even a portion of a day, he/she will use one of the allotted 10 Parent-Excused absences. Students should present their doctor excuse when they return to school. As a reminder, students with COVID or COVID-like symptoms who stay home will use a PX for each day missed unless they return with a note from a physician excusing the days absent.
   
• A 7:40-7:45 arrival will be considered a Tardy;  A 7:46-7:55 arrival will be considered a Late Arrival. An arrival after 7:55 will use one of the allotted Parent-Excused absences.
   
• Students will be expected to show their teacher the early dismissal email they received from our Attendance Office when needing to leave class for an early dismissal.
   
• Homework assignments can be found on the teachers' Canvas Pages.  We ask all absent students to stay current with class activity as they are able.

Remember - If you are picking up your student during the day for an early dismissal, please meet them near Door 1 via the Spartan Roundabout which is only accessible from the campus entrance located off of Homestead Road via Indian Meadows Drive between the Girl’s Varsity Softball Field and the SACS District Offices. Turn right after passing Aboite Elementary School and follow that drive back to the Spartan Roundabout

If you need to bring a student to school late or return a student to school later in the day, you will also use Door 1 via the Spartan Roundabout.

Students are reminded to bring their doctor’s note and press the buzzer at Door 1 to be admitted into the building when arriving late or returning to school. Notes must be turned into the Attendance Office located at Door 1.
