The Woman’s Press Club of Indiana was established in 1913 by women who sought representation in their newsrooms and organizations. Today, WPCI is one of the oldest continuously operating journalism organizations in the state.
This prestigious organization and the National Federation of Press Women have recognized the outstanding work of the following Homestead yearbook and Spartana students:
First Place Award Winners
Azalea Bennett-Orsini - Spartana - 1st place in Layout for “High-speed Rail Is on America’s Wish List” (The judge commented that the design “is as close to perfect as it comes.”)
Hudson Mulhall - Yearbook - 1st place in Yearbook Copywriting for “Restart Culture” (The judge commented that “The copy is short, to the point, and fun to read.”)
The work by 1st placed students will go on to the Indiana “Best of the Best” judging and the national competition with the National Federation of Press Women. Best of luck Azalea and Hudson!
