Homestead Art Teacher Sam Welch has been named Southwest Allen County Schools Teacher of the Year.

Mr. Welch serves as an outstanding example of all the good work the teachers in this district do every day, by putting students first, helping them to believe in themselves and their talents, and providing opportunities to learn and grow in a positive environment.
