Layla Kelly Named Indiana Academic All Star

Senior Layla Kelly has been selected as one of forty high school seniors from throughout Indiana to be named a 2024 Indiana Academic All-Stars. The students were selected from a field of 281 outstanding nominees from the state’s private and public accredited schools. Academic All-Star distinction recognizes seniors who excel in the classroom first and foremost, but who also are actively involved in their schools and communities and take on leadership roles in those activities. Congratulations to Layla!

Layla Kelly has also been selected as one of only two outstanding student leaders to represent Indiana as a delegate to the United States Senate Youth Program in Washington, D.C. in 2024. The USSYP brings the highest-level officials from each branch of government to meet with this outstanding group of young leaders — two high school juniors or seniors from each of the 50 states — for an intensive week-long education and leadership program. The program is merit-based and highly competitive. Each student will also receive a $10,000 undergraduate college scholarship with encouragement to pursue coursework in history and political science. Homestead is very proud of Layla for earning this prestigious recognition! Click Here to Learn More About This Honor
