Homestead Spartan Musicians Named to All State Jazz Bands
Sai Ramani (Tenor Sax) and Anthony Tomaszewski (Guitar) have been selected to play in the Indiana All State Jazz Band.
Luke Thompson (Trombone) will be performing with the Junior All State Jazz Band.
These amazing musicians have taken on the challenge of learning to play jazz, an art form that requires both musicality and creativity.
What makes jazz musicians unique is the ability to create their own music and incorporate it into a chart so that it sounds like it has always been part of the piece, and often, even makes the song better.
These young men are helping to keep this uniquely American genre of music alive… and their hard work and dedication has led them to excel at what many people consider to be America’s greatest original art form.
