Teagan Butler Designs Winning Course Description Guide Cover
Teagan Butler has won the Homestead High School 2025 – 2026 Course Description Guide Cover Contest.
Students in Mr. Manco’s Digital Design course – which can also be taken for college credit (VISC 102), compete each year for this honor by creating a cover design for this digital resource, a guide that will be used by more than 2,400 students as they select their courses for the upcoming school year.
All student submissions were shared with local graphic design artists. These experts noted that Teagan’s design was very clean and the colors she selected were bold. Two of our experts noted that sometimes less is more, and that Teagan’s work was an example of how clearly that concept works, especially when the graphics are to be used in a digital format. Their feedback also noted that Teagan’s design was well balanced in both color and composition, and that the text was easily read because the contrast of dark and light worked so well together.
The HHS 2025 – 2026 Course Description Guide will be published on the Homestead Guidance Page website shortly before winter break.
Congratulations Teagan!
