Tanya Dely - Homestead Teacher of the Year

Tanya Dely, culinary arts instructor, has been named Homestead’s Teacher of the Year.
Under Mrs. Dely leadership, she and her dedicated colleagues have taken our kitchens from a place where basic cooking happens to providing students with a true Culinary Arts training experience.
Mrs. Dely’s infectious enthusiasm for cooking and nutrition lifts students up and opens a window into a career path that many find is just what they have been looking for during their high school experience. Because of Tanya’s vision, Homestead graduates are going on to work at local restaurants in above-entry level jobs and have been accepted to post-secondary culinary training opportunities across the country.
A recent recipient of the highly competitive Lilly Grant, Mrs. Dely is currently pursuing a Masters Diploma in Gastronomy, Nutrition and Food Trends at Le Cordon Bleu, in Paris, France, learning in the same kitchen where great chefs such as Julia Child and Ming Tsai were trained. She exemplifies what we encourage each of our students to become… a lifelong learner.
The Homestead family of students, teachers, staff and administrators join in congratulating Mrs. Dely, who is the perfect choice to represent our amazing faculty as the 2025 Teacher of the Year.
