Posted Date: 10/07/24 (11:03 PM)

The Indiana Department of Education’s (IDOE’s) Office of Teaching and Learning congratulates Homestead High School, winner of a 2024-2025 K-12 Robotics Competition Grant.

Awarded through funds appropriated by the Indiana General Assembly, this grant aligns with the mission of Indiana’s Priorities for STEM Education to provide Indiana students with engaging STEM learning experiences that prepare them for emerging careers and educational opportunities.

Olympus Robotics is a dedicated group of students and mentors driven by a passion for engineering and technology. Based at Homestead High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, they are a FRC team that is committed to using our skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in our community and beyond. We have had the opportunity to learn and grow through FRC - the First Robotics Competition - using the principles of engineering to build and program robots that are capable of tackling complex challenges.

Their involvement in the FRC goes beyond just designing, building, and creating the computer program that makes the robots complete the annual competitive tasks. Members of the club take part in all other aspects of the project, including marketing, fundraising, and advertising.
