
Homestead High School’s Digital Media Program wins TV/Video School of the Year, finishes
runner-up for Audio/Radio School of the Year at state’s annual broadcasting awards
ceremony
Homestead High School’s Digital Media Program was named the TV/Video School of the Year and runner-up Radio/Audio
School of the Year March 14, 2022 at the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters (IASB) conference and awards ceremony at the
University of Indianapolis. Homestead won against students enrolled in Audio/Video classes in high schools or career
centers throughout the state. This year, more than 540 entries in total were entered in 35 total categories. IASB consists of
more than 50 high schools, career centers, and vocational programs throughout the state of Indiana and the annual
conference and awards ceremony is held every March at the University of Indianapolis. This is the Homestead’s third
consecutive TV/Video state championship.
On the TV/Video side of the contest, Homestead students took home an astounding nine first-place awards (out of 18
different categories), five second-place awards and one third-place award.
On the Radio/Audio side of the contest, Homestead students took home second first-place awards (out of 15 different
categories), four second-place awards and two third-place awards.
