Description:
Latin Club (Junior Classical League) members participate in monthly club meetings, service projects, state competitions, state and national conventions, and educational field trips with other Classical students. Students compete at conventions in a wide variety of contests, including academic tests, art projects, and public speaking. Our club has earned many top awards at the state level, winning over 100 individual awards in 2019. Numerous Homestead students have held state and national offices in JCL, and many have gone on to hold offices in the Senior Classical League while in college.
Eligibility Requirements:
Latin students and/or students who have an interest in Rome and the ancient world.
Time Commitment:
Latin Club holds monthly club meetings. There are also state events and competitions throughout the year and weekly certamen (Latin quiz bowl) practices.

Activity Time Period:
Tuesdays after school (meeting dates subject to change)
Certamen Practice - Thursdays and Fridays after school
