Description:
Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) consists of fun activities relating to Family and Consumer Sciences such as: Adult Roles, Child Development, Cadet Teaching, Nutrition and Wellness, Interior Design, Fashion and Textiles, Food Science, and Interpersonal Relationships. Club members have the opportunity to compete against other FCCLA members at state and national competitions in which members create a project based on a category of Family and Consumer Sciences.
Interested in any of the topics listed above? Then FCCLA is for you! FCCLA is a great way for students to meet new friends, make memories, and learn life skills that will aid them in the future.
Eligibility:
Any Homestead student interested in learning more about Family and Consumer Sciences
Time Commitment:
Tuesdays after school throughout the school year. If students are interested in competing, they may choose to do so as well.
Procedure for Joining:
Come to a meeting at the beginning of the school year or email a FACS department teacher
Activity Time Period:
Every Tuesday after school through the school year (2:45-3:15 PM)
