Students seeking an academic honors diploma should select Advanced Placement United States History in place of this course.

United States History is a two-semester course emphasizing the development of the United States from the late nineteenth century to the present day. The course gives major emphasis to the political, social, economic, and international influences that led to the modern-day United States, as well as emphasizing the development of historical thinking skills. These include primary and secondary source analysis, database research, contextualization, and evidence-based argumentation. 

Students in grade 11 should sign up for United States History A first semester.
Students in grade 11 should sign up for United History B second semester.
