This course is a graduation requirement. 

This course can be taken in grades 10, 11, or 12. Students are required to take both Physical Education 1 and Physical Education 2 in order to earn a diploma in the state of Indiana.


Physical Education 2 continues to have an emphasis on health-related fitness and developing the skills and habits necessary for a lifetime of activity. This program includes skill development and the application of rules and strategies of complex difficulty in at least three of the following different movement forms: Health-related fitness activities (cardio-respiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and body composition), aerobic exercise, team sports, individual and dual sports, gymnastics, outdoor pursuits, self-defense, dance, and recreational games. Ongoing assessment includes both written and performance-based skill evaluations.
