Head Coach:

Anne Tiernon

Girls Track  - Coach Tiernon enters her 22nd season as the Spartan head coach.  For 20 years (1986-2005), she led teams that registered16 conference championships, 7 sectional titles, multiple state qualifiers, 46 all-state performers and 3 individual state champions, while compiling a 176-6-1 dual meet record. Returning as head coach last season, the Spartans claimed another sectional title, regional runner-up, and finished 8th in the single class state championship meet.   Homestead has a proud history in track and field with 12 sectional titles and 5 individual state champions, most recently Grace Walther (2016) in the 1600 meter run.  A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Coach Tiernon is in her 38th year teaching Health and Physical Education at Homestead and serves as the department chairperson. Coach Tiernon and her husband Ted have two children, Taylor (27) and Tracey (24).
