Head Coach: Rod Parker
Rod Parker 

Rod Parker has been the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Homestead High School for sixteen seasons, compiling a 270-112 record in that span which included a 28-2 record in 2016-17 that was highlighted by a class 4A State Championship.

During his tenure, the Spartans have won five sectionals (2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017), three regionals (2015, 2016, and 2017), two semi-state titles (2015 and 2017), a state runner up finish in 2015 and a 4A State Title in 2017.  Parker's teams have also won conference championships in five of the past seven years.  Over the past six seasons, Homestead has had a 183-26 record and has been nationally ranked by USA Today, ESPN, and MaxPreps the last three years.

 Parker was previously an IBCA District 1 Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2015, he was also named the Indiana Junior All-Star head coach in 2015, USA Today Indiana Coach of the Year in 2017, and the NFHS/IBCA Indiana Coach of the Year in 2017.

 A 1993 graduate of IPFW, Parker's teams are noted for their up-tempo style that has allowed the Spartans to be among the state's highest-scoring teams.  Homestead has been in the top five in scoring the past six seasons.

 Prior to taking over the girls’ program, Parker was an assistant in the boys’ basketball program at Homestead for six years and was the Head Golf Coach for fourteen years.  He currently teaches at Woodside Middle School.   Coach Parker has been married for twenty-three years.  He and his wife, Melissa, have three children:  Madisen, Rylie and Ryan.
