Homestead High School
Summer Reading Program 2020

The Homestead High School Summer Reading program is designed to connect students with an engaging, entertaining and enriching reading experience. Encouraging our Spartans to read over the summer is one of the many ways we are preparing our students for academic excellence while fostering a life-long love of reading.

Summer is a wonderful time for students to discover and develop individual reading interests. The HHS Summer Reading Program continues to offer students the opportunity to self-select books from lists of suggested titles/genres developed for the student’s 2020-2021 grade level and Language Arts course.

Readers should click on the course/grade they will enter at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year for more information. Also, all students will be receiving an email containing the assignment and summer reading titles.

While we recommend, and prefer, students to have a hard copy of their summer reading novels, we understand that this year has presented different circumstances.  If your family is unable to purchase the book through a store or online, please note that many of the titles are available through online sources such as Internet Archive or Project Gutenberg.
